Collapse
I woke up on the floor in the middle of the hallway. I saw the ceiling was old, and corroded. It smelled of mold and asbestos. The lights were off. I’d been here before. I could tell it was daytime because there was enough light pouring into the building for me to see. I couldn’t remember where I was, but it seemed familiar. Light rays shone in through the air, and I saw many little dust particles.
I stood up, looking at the large, dusty, brown double doors beside me. The tiled floor was a light brown with many small specs of different shades of brown on them. It looked like any other old school building.
…That’s where I was. I was at school. But, there were no lockers. It was the middle of the day, but I didn’t understand why no one was there.
I opened the double doors and walked into another room where the floors were still brown. the main color in this place was brown. To my left was a long row of brown bookcases. It was our library. It was different though. I remember it having carpeted floor, and computers, and a front desk. All it had was small concrete barriers made of light brown brick. They were placed along the different sections of hallways inside the library. Looking down, it looked like a map of a city. the brick barriers were supposed to look like walls. They only rose to my knees though. This building was old, and it seemed like I hadn’t been there in a long time.
Then, I understood why no one was there. This was my old school. It was being torn down.
Before I could think, I saw a large brick wall behind the empty bookcases smack into the floor. Brick barriers collapsed, and I ran to the other side of the room. I hit another set of double doors, and pushed the open. I was behind a staircase. I didn’t think it was smart, but I ran for my life around the corner, and up the stairs.
The next floor was different. I didn’t remember it because it was the eighth grade and seventh grade hallways. I only went to that school when I was in sixth grade downstairs. I ran down a blank hallway with nothing on either side of me, and felt the floor behind me collapsing with with every step I took. Ahead, I saw a window. It was my only chance. I leaped out of the window, and landed on grass. A few chestnut burrs got stuck in my chest, but I was fine.
I turned to look at the building, and I was stunned. The building that had collapsed wasn’t my school. It was my grandma’s neighbor’s house.
The man’s name was Mike. He owned the house, but he rarely visited it. I’d been inside that house before, and it didn’t look a thing like what I had just leaped out of.
Standing up, I saw my grandparents’ neighborhood. I turned when I heard my mom’s horn honking. She was waving at me to come to the car. In the backseat, was my cousin Marissa. I climbed in the back seat, and saw that she was wearing ratty clothes like me.
“Is your phone off?” My mom asked.
“No, why?” I said. I hadn’t really thought about it, but i didn’t think it was off.
“Because we tried to call you, but you didn’t answer,” She replied.
I thought about telling her and Marissa about my experience, but for some reason, I didn’t.
We drove off down the street, and soon, ended up in Japan. Don’t ask me how we got there in a car, because I have no Idea.
After a few minutes, I ended up on my pack porch that stood over my backyard. My friend Zach came up to me, and asked If he could be my roommate.
“What are you talking about?” I asked.
“For the school trip,” he said.
“Oh, I remember,” I lied.
“So,” he said. “Can I?”
“Sure.”
We took our backpacks, and put them down in my room. I had no idea where my parents went or why my entire school was on my back porch, but I just went with it. I layed down on my bed, and went to sleep.
I woke up the next morning with snow outside. I smelled eggs, bacon, and rolls. My school was gone, Marissa was gone, and I could hear my parents talking upstairs. I smiled, and ran up to get some food…

What an elaborate dream! That’s so cool, especially that you remembered it, but with a dream like that how could you not?!?
